Administrative Assistant - IPU
Part Time 32 hours per week.  The Schedule will be every Friday from 1:00pm - 9:30pm and every Saturday & Sunday from 9:00am - 9:30pm.

Provides timely, responsive, customer-focused and customer-friendly service to all patients, families, staff, students, vendors and visitors to the Inpatient Unit. Acts as first line of communication for all customers, providing a positive, warm, calm and competent image to all customers and responding to customer needs as defined by the customer. This includes all external customers, i.e. patients, families, visitors, students, vendors as well as internal customers, i.e. HHCRI and Elmhurst facility staff. Provides administrative support to the Inpatient Team. The Administrative Assistant (AA) provides assistance to the HHCRI Inpatient Team in the coordination of patient admissions, discharges and deaths for the Unit.

High school diploma required. Associate’s degree or graduate of a secretarial school program preferred. Must have at least two years related experience and/or training in a healthcare environment. Must be able to use computers proficiently. Knowledge and working ability Microsoft Word (or similar wordprocessing software) and Excel (or similar spreadsheet) is required. Knowledge and working ability with MYSIS is desirable.

Accounts Payable Coordinator
Full Time Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5:00pm.

Under the direction of the Controller, the Accounts Payable Coordinator services the accounts payable needs of the organization by processing invoices, ensuring proper approvals are received, proposing payments based on due dates for vendor payments, processing vendor payments, and managing vendor relationships from an Accounts Payable perspective. Coordinates activities with other departmental staff assisting with accounts payable functions, providing direction where appropriate. Participates in control activities designed to conserve the assets of the agency.

Associates Degree is required with minimum of two (2) years full scope accounts payable experience including demonstrated exposure to managing vendor relationships. Knowledge of accounts payable functions / activities with preference given to experience in a healthcare environment. Strong computer skills including experience with accounts payable systems, as well as Microsoft windows, explorer, outlook, word and excel.

Dining Room Service Assistant
Part Time 22 hours per week. This is a rotating schedule. Monday-Friday, the hours will be 3pm – 7pm; Weekends are 6:30am – 7:00pm. Flexibility is a must.

Under the direction of the Dining Services Manager, the Assistant is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation and preparation of food for our facility.

A high school diploma or equivalent is necessary along with a minimum of 2 years of food preparation, cooking, and baking experience. Must be able to read and convert recipes and possess some knife skills. Experience in a Healthcare environment preferred. Must have a current Manager in Food Safety Certificate or Serve Safe Certification.

Clinical Specialist - Social Work
Full Time Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Under the direction of the Vice President of Clinical Services, the Clinical Specialist is responsible for assuring continuity and consistency of the quality of social work practice within the organization. The Clinical Specialist ensures the provision of social work training and development, serves as mentor to social workers, provides clinical supervision, and serves are representative of the discipline in the development of processes, policies, and projects within the organization. The Clinical Specialist will also serve as a resource to Patient Care Managers in the management of their teams.

The requirements for this position are A Master’s Degree in Social Work with RI LICSW licensure. Five (5) years field experience with in-depth clinical knowledge to include a minimum of two years of experience in a Home Care/Hospice setting. Evidence of applied knowledge in all state and federal regulations and accreditation standards related to hospice care. Valid driver’s license with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.

Volunteer Coordinator
Full Time Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm.

Coordinates and provides volunteer services to patients/families that are consistent with the goals, definition, philosophy and purpose of Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island. Supervises and evaluates volunteers through volunteer visit records, evaluation tools and feedback from staff, patients and families. Reviews and signs all volunteer documentation. Maintains individual file on each volunteer ensuring all information and forms are complete and current in accordance with volunteer policies and procedures.

Degree required with at least 3 years of general office experience utilizing organizational skills and telephone skills. Must have excellent computer skills. Must have experience working with volunteers. Valid driver’s license with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or organization requirements and is in good working order.

RN Admissions - Per Diem
Per Diem Position for our Admissions Department.

Current RI RN License with at least two years’ related RN experience. Home care and/or hospice experience preferred. Valid RI Driver’s license with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state and/or agency requirements and is in good working order.

RNs - Inpatient Patient Unit
Full Time Day positions working 36 hours (paid for 40) from 7:00am - 7:30pm.

Full Time Night position working 36 hours (paid for 40) from 7:00pm - 7:30am.

Per Diem positions available for Nights.
Per Diem positions available for Days.

Current RI RN License with at least two years’ related RN experience. Hospital experience required.

Nursing Assistants - Inpatient Patient Unit
