Analee Wulfkuhle, President & CEO of Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island was one of 11 women recognized as a Woman of Achievement in healthcare at the 2 nd Annual Tools of the Trade luncheon, sponsored by the YWCA of Northern Rhode Island. The luncheon was held at the Kirkbrae Country Club on September 21, 2006.

Analee Wulfkuhle is President and CEO of Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island (HHCRI), a pioneer organization that has provided end-of-life services to the Rhode Island community since 1976. Since assuming the position of President & CEO in 1999, Ms. Wulfkuhle has guided Home & Hospice Care of Rhode Island into an exciting new phase of growth and change. Under her leadership, HHCRI has changed its name, implemented new programs, strengthened our collaborations with area nursing homes, hospitals, and private agencies, and is disaffiliating with the Lifespan Healthcare Network. As a member of the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization (NHPCO), Ms. Wulfkuhle serves as a New England regional representative on committees to broaden hospice accessibility as well as enhance NHPCO benefits and services to member hospices. Before coming to Rhode Island, she was President/CEO of Old Colony Hospice in Massachusetts for eight years. She was the first hospice executive in Massachusetts to attain the National Association for Home Care (NAHC) “certified hospice/home care executive (CHCE)” credential. She also volunteered with the Hospice Federation of Massachusetts, serving on the Board of Directors for four years as Vice President and as Legislative Committee Chair.

 

She currently serves on the Board of Trustees of the Rhode Island Red Cross, volunteers at the Rhode Island Free Clinic and Waterfire, Rhode Island Community Food Bank, and was a member of the Leadership RI-Class of 2004, President of State Hospice/Palliative Care Alliance of Rhode Island (SHARI), member of Board of Directors of Massachusetts Hospice Federation, member of CareLink Board of Trustees and PACE Board of Trustees.

 

Ms. Wulfkuhle received her B.S. in Nursing from UCLA, Los Angeles, and holds an MBA from Simmons College, Boston.
